Subscription Box: Starlooks #starbox #looksbook

Starbox

Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes only. Any and all opinions are my own.

A few years ago I received the Starlooks Special Edition Box featuring Lauren Clark and I really loved all the fun makeup inside and the idea of receiving this type of box monthly. I am not sure why I didn't sign up, maybe because I have way too much makeup already, but I love playing with makeup and sharing the shades that do not suit me. I think Starlooks is a fun box to receive and also makes a great gift idea as well. They have been going through a few changes and now offer two monthly makeup subscriptions.

Starlooks is a monthly make-up subscription box
offering two monthly subscriptions for $12/month each.

Subscriptions:

Looksbook. Looksbook is the new membership/subscription that offers three Perfect Size Starlooks color cosmetics, a little smaller than full sized versions, that all fit inside a convenient travel size book to keep them safe and clean and easy to find in your purse. I hope to have a review of this subcription to come soon.

and the one I sampled:

Custom Starbox. The custom box offers options when ordering to choose three Starlooks cosmetics and three fashion/lifestyle gift cards, all for $12 a month, shipping included (for 48 states).

Box Contents:

Here are my choices in the Custom Starbox:

My personal favorite: Starlooks Skin Perfecting Blush in Rose Gold. This blush is perfect any time of day for a much needed bit of color. The color is a beautiful bronze with gold and pink tones, any skin type could benefit from this shade. It could also be used as an eye shadow, maybe even on top of gloss for a lip color, it is a very universal color and absolutely gorgeous.

Starlooks Black Eye Pencil in Noir. Will I ever be able to master the lovely curved black eye pencil maneuver. I think it is flattering for any eye shape. I can practice now with this great pencil. The Starlooks pencil is easy to glide with no pinching.

Starlooks Tender Gloss Lipstick. Although, this one is a bit too orange for me and one I will be passing on. I did try it out and it glides on smoothly, leaving lips soft and smooth. Another great Starlooks product!!

Three gift cards also came with this gorgeously presented box. Starlooks, Britta Ambauen and Onyx. While, I am not great at using cards, the Starlooks one was for $20, so I had a look around the site and found many things that caught my eye. I ended up ordering two more Perfect Sized Cosmetics; the "Longing for Lashes" Lengthening Mascara and "Guilty Pleasure" Lip Gloss. I have not tried the other two gift cards yet but I will definitely update my post if I do!! What a great box. Have you tried Starlooks?
