New England’s largest and longest-running Renaissance Festival: King Richard's Faire in Carver, MA, opened over the Labor Day weekend and is open every weekend now through October 19th (Including Columbus Day Monday, October 13th) Gates open at 10:30am and close at 6:00pm. Celebrating thirty-three years this year, this will be our first year attending and we are excited to tour the 80-acre enchanted forest and look forward to the hundreds of live entertainers performing throughout the day, including acrobats, aerialists, jugglers, minstrels, mimes, dancers, fire eaters, stilt walkers and puppeteers, even Knights jousting on horseback! King Richard also has a Royal Zoo - Exotic animals include: tigers, leopards, lions, wolves, and jaguars too. If you enjoy shopping, enjoy a visit to the 16th century village filled with more than 100 unique artisans showing off their skills with glass blowing, portrait painting, hand-spun pottery, sword making, jewelry, and much more. All for sale. While you shop, you can send your lads over to try the skill games, like the Axe Throw or Archery, also more gentle pleasures include hide n seek and M’Lady’s Shady Maze for the young lads and lasses. Maybe you would enjoy the Swan Swing or Flying Carousel. Lots of options to choose from, entertaining all ages! Tickets are $29 for adults and kids ages 12 and up, $16 for kids ages 4-11, and kids younger than 4 are free and so is parking! All rides and activities will cost an additional $3 each.
