Disney on Ice: Mickey and Minnie's Magical JourneyApril 24, 2012
Thanks to a great giveaway over at Evan and Lauren’s Cool Blog, I won a family pack of tickets to go see Disney on Ice: Mickey and Minnie’s Magical Journey last week. My kids were so excited to see Mickey and Minnie and all the gang. My husband and I were pretty excited too, none of us had ever seen anything like this. We ran into a little traffic heading out of Boston to Worcester, but we picked up our tickets, found our seats and were seated maybe five minutes before the show started, ah perfection. Mickey and Minnie, Donald and Daisy, and the Disney crew skated out first and the excitement could be felt by all! They looked so cute and skated so well. A great start to the show. Ariel made an appearance along with the mean scary octopus Ursula. Flounder and Sebastian were adorable. Simba from The Lion King was there along with Pumba and Timon, who were fun to watch dancing around, shaking their little bums made my daughter laugh out loud. Lilo and Stitch were a huge hit too with my girl, who thought Stitch was so cute.
After the first act was complete, there was an intermission with enough time to grab a drink and a snack. The second act started with Peter Pan chasing his shadow about for a bit then he took the Darling children on a great flying adventure with a little pixie dust of course from Tinker bell. Captain Hook came out on a fantastic boat with a load of pirates and once on land was chased away and then eaten up by a big inflatable crocodile while fighting Peter Pan.
We all loved the show and have already made plans to go again when it returns. A huge thanks to Gilda for the great tickets.
