One eskimO Live

One eskimO recently toured with bands Scars on 45 and Hugo. I was excited they were headlining and I thought my love for them could not get any larger until I had the opportunity to meet a few of them at TT the Bears last month. One eskimO are amazing, on CD, live and in person! We arrived a little too early to see a sign on the door that read “doors open at nine,” so we went around the corner for a couple before hand and to meet up with our friends. When we made it back, Scars on 45 were into their gig, and I immediately remembered how small the stage is at TT’s. This is a place where you want to see a band, where I want to see one anyway and especially One eskimO, it’s small, intimate, really up close and personal, while not my first choice for venues, it did not disappoint!
I was getting excited to see and hear One eskimO and started noticing the band walking in and out of the place; Adam walked by accidentally bumping into my husband and shouted back an apology making no eye contact, nuts. Then I noticed Kristian walk up to the bar, jammed between two patrons, nope. Next, Jamie was at the bar trying to get a listen to Hugo and he was wide open so I made a bee line! My boldness paid off by having a wonderful conversation with him, he was so easy to chat with, so down to earth. It was a pleasant surprise to learn he is from Wales, he said the town but between the band Hugo belting out some heavy tunes and his soft spoken voice, I didn’t catch it. Adam and Kristian were equally as friendly but I was knackered by the time I met them after the show but what a show, over an hour of some of our CD favorites, a few brilliant new songs and a couple of covers including “Wish You Were Here” by Pink Floyd and “Hand in My Pocket” by Alanis Morissette.
One eskimO are fantastic live and they recently came out with a live EP. A great substitute for you unfortunate ones who have yet to see them or for us lucky ones who are eagerly awaiting their return.
