The Wummel Box Subscription Service

The Wummel Box was received thanks to a ChildsplayPR Campaign. All opinions are mine.

We received the Wummel Box to review and wanted to share with you this new subscription arts & crafts service for kids ages 3-8.

The Wummel Box originated in Berlin. This European-style arts & crafts subscription service is designed to inspire learning, creativity and exploration. It comes with all the materials you will need for hours of hands on fun to do with your children, including great instruction booklets.

Each box is based on a theme; we received the Time Travel box which included 3 arts & crafts projects related to the Stone Age.

We built our own time machine, using water colors and stickers to decorate it. My son enjoyed turning the knobs and pretending he was being transported back in time. My daughter enjoyed painting it; she went for the two-toned look. Can you tell from the picture below?

We also created our very own cave painting. This project contained stamps we were able to create, by using adhesives provided. We still have a lot of work to do to complete this one.

We were also provided with items to play a game called Hunter & Gatherer. We first colored punch outs that made a mammoth and cut out felt to make tracks and using a cube we painted for a die, we followed the tracks to find the hidden mammoth.

The box also included a Stone Age story to read. A cute story about Wummel and Hedgy and their trip back in time.

The Wummel Box is a fun and unique way to inspire kids to explore history from an early age. All materials used meet the highest European and U.S. standards for toys, also eco-friendly when possible and has been designed and tested by early childhood educators, designers and parents. We really had a fun time with this box! I think the Wummel Box provides great structured play and would also make a great gift.

A one month subscription is priced at $34.95; 3-month is $24.95 per month; and a 12 year subscription is priced at $19.95 per month. To learn more about the Wummel Box, please visit the: Wummel Box website or Wummel Box facebook page.
