ENDED Book Giveaway: Rasmus and the Vagabond by Astrid LindgrenFebruary 9, 2015
Disclosure: I received this book for review purposes only. No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own.
I could not put down this beautiful and truly delightful tale between a little boy and an accordion playing wanderer. It left me smiling, wanting more and looking to find Pippi Longstocking, to relive her adventure, too! What a story. Although suggested for young readers, everyone from young to old would enjoy this entertaining and heartfelt delight.
About the Book:
"After running away from an orphanage, nine-year-old Rasmus finds the world a cold and unfriendly place until he befriends an extraordinary tramp called Paradise Oscar. Together they meet more adventure than they ever imagined, solve a mystery, and catch the culprits. Rasmus dreams of finding a family and a home someday. But when he does, will he be able to part with his new friend and life on the road?"
What an adventure for such a young boy with the best ending ever. I cant wait to read it all over again, then offer it to my young daughter. The story is beautifully told, with a few amazing pencil drawings thrown in from time to time to share the scene. Pick up your own copy or try to win one below.
