Happy Halloween with Organic India

Well, Halloween is right around the corner and luckily falls on a Friday this year! We have Elsa and a Stormtrooper ready to go in our home. What are your kids dressing up as this year? To help celebrate Halloween, we received a very festive trio of goods from OrganicIndia.com with a creative twist on black and orange:

Turmeric - This orange spice supports inflammation, digestion joints and radiant skin. Available in capsule and powder form. Great on toast, bread or crackers, it can be added to smoothies, "or as a healthy snack just eaten right out of the jar with a spoon! Traditionally in India, it is stirred into a warm glass of milk. My favorite product of the three is the delicious tea, although an herbal tea, that one would enjoy without anything added, I, being English, have to add sugar and milk and while most herbal teas would not take the addition of milk, this one took it well, it added a great taste and made it that much better. Caffeine Free, this tea would make a great night time treat and saved me earlier this week when I was not feeling very well! I want this tea to be in stock in my cupboard, always.

The Turmeric came in capsule form and I am not the best pill popper. Regardless, the powerful properties of these capsules could out weigh my dislike. We are quite fond of the spice itself and add it to our Chicken Curry's - I will attempt the capsules to reap the many benefits of this powerful spice.

The Chyawaprash jam is like nothing I have had before. It was much sweeter than I thought and the smell reminds me of something that I cannot place. Extremely good for you - I first tried it on toast and may try it on crackers next.
