Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor by Lisa Kleypas

In an effort to stick to my new promise to self: to get back into reading, I signed up to be a Lisa Diva. Lisa's Divas are a community of fans that help promote books written by Lisa Kleypas¸ an award-winning author of twenty-one novels in the historical and contemporary romance category. Currently promoting her new release coming out in February entitled “Rainshadow Road”, the second book in the Friday Harbor series. I recently read the first Friday Harbor series entitled “Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor”, which is about a little girl who becomes mute due to the loss of her mother. It is a magical, easy to read love story that makes you believe not only in magic, but in the concept that all things happen for a reason. Although short, it was one of those books that kept calling to me and I had it read in no time. The characters were all interesting, easy to like and fun to read about. I can’t wait to read the second series too!
