Horrid Henry: The Movie

Horrid Henry

Now my children are old enough to sit for a few hours, Saturday night has become our family movie night date. The kids get to stay up an hour later to enjoy some popcorn, chocolates and a fun family movie! Our latest movie for movie night was Horrid Henry: The Movie. Horrid Henry: The Movie is based on Francesca Simon's popular children's book series by the same name. Horrid Henry is the #1 bestselling chapter book series in the UK with over 15 million copies sold.

The movie is about Henry, a mischievous young lad who lands himself in all sorts of situations. Moody Margaret, his nemesis neighbor likes to keep him on his toes too with practical jokes! The movie is quirky and quite colorful. I enjoyed seeing the great Anjelica Huston as the Teacher Ms. Battle-axe, who boasts a great Scottish accent. Newcomer Theo Stevenson, who plays Horrid Henry, is easy to like and who you might find yourself rooting for despite his "horrid" ways.

This limited edition DVD will be available exclusively at Walmart stores in the US on March 12, 2013. Included with the DVD is a non-toxic, upholstery friendly green slime pack that will entertain your kids for hours! My two loved it, even daddy had a fun time with it and anyone and everyone who comes over has to touch it, they love it!
