ENDED - Boston: Hard Rock Cafe Review and $50 GiveawayJuly 21, 2012 I make a lot of meals at home for my family, so eating out is a huge treat for me. Whether it is for lunch or dinner, I'll take either one, or both lol, especially now my kids are old enough to sit and enjoy the meal rather than get a take away :) When I worked in the Back Bay of Boston, my colleagues and I would go to the Hard Rock Cafe all the time, we enjoyed the food, looking at the fun memorabilia and listening to great music, we also went to a couple of fun intimate concerts there too! Then they moved to Faneuil Hall and it was just a little too far for our fast hour lunch. So I was eager to return, to see the new venue and sample their new menu items. Focusing on three main concepts, the new Hard Rock Cafe menu items feature: FRESH first with items like: Cajun Shrimp & Poached Pear Salad, Goat Cheese Chicken Salad Sandwich, and Shock Top Battered Fish & Chips; then, LEGENDARY is king: with mouth watering burgers that you can substitute with grilled chicken breast (on any Legendary Experience menu item); and SMOKING is back: offering a Shang Hi Smokehouse Sandwich, a South Carolina Smokehouse Sandwich, a Texan Smokehouse Sandwich and a Smokehouse Chop Salad. Needless to say, it was going to be hard to choose which item to try, but once I saw the following pictures, I knew these two items would definitely make our list:   I went with the Smokehouse Chop Salad, it was fresh, full of cilantro and very filling considering there was little chicken, but it was abundant with tasty tomatoes, bacon, avocados, even pecans. A real delicious treat, that was too massive to finish, much bigger than the picture above!! My husband tried the 6oz burger and said it was just enough because we both sampled the kids, tasty Mac and Cheese and Chicken Sandwich that both came with sides. The service was brilliant, we really had a very friendly waitress, which can make a huge difference and we all enjoyed the bigger, more open venue which welcomes kids without making us adults feel like we are in a place for kids!
