Donkey Kong Country DVD

Our favorite 80s video game ape: Donkey Kong is coming to DVD for the first time on August 20th, 2013 with Donkey Kong Country. Enjoy 90 minutes of four continuous classic episodes in CGI animation of Donkey Kong and his side kick Diddy Kong as they try to get back the Crystal Coconut that was sneakily stolen by King K Rool.

Already a huge fan of the classic game, our love was renewed just a few years ago when we bought Donkey Kong Country Returns for the Wii. When I told my children, ages four and five that Donkey Kong is also coming out on DVD for us to watch on TV, their eyes became saucers and they jumped up and down with excitement.

Since we first watched this for our Saturday Family Movie Night, they have been asking us to play it over and over. It is a huge hit with my son, who loves everything Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong, and my daughter thought the songs were fun and enjoyable too. Even us parents felt a little nostalgic watching it. Fun for all ages.

Available at Target and other major retailers for $9.99, this is a classic you will want for your collection. For more information on this and other Phase 4 Films DVD's, please visit: Kaboom Entertainment's website. You can also follow kaboom on facebook and twitter.
